About

Rules-based, risk-on/risk-off plan centered on big tech. Rides Nasdaq uptrends with adjustable leverage, pairs with long Treasuries, and shifts to cash, defensive stocks, or inverse tech when trends weaken; brief UVXY hedges on overheated moves.
NutHow it works
Trend check first: If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, go risk‑on—ride big tech via Nasdaq funds (TQQQ/QLD/QQQ) and sometimes pair with 3x Treasuries (TMF). If short‑term “heat” is extreme (RSI = a hot/cold meter), briefly use UVXY (volatility). If SPY is below its 200‑day, go risk‑off—hold T‑Bills (BIL), Costco + UnitedHealth, and a tactical sleeve that flips among short tech (SQQQ/SOXS), bonds (BSV), or long tech (TQQQ/SOXL) using short‑term trend/RSI. TECL (3x tech) can appear on oversold bounces.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~49% annualized return vs ~21% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.42 and Sharpe ~1.13. Leverages tech uptrends plus bond ballast offer higher upside; expect larger drawdowns (~35%) in risk-off phases.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
