About

A rules-based blend that mostly rides a 2x S&P 500 fund in uptrends, shifts to cash or staples when risk rises, buys 3x Nasdaq on deep tech selloffs, and can short Nasdaq in rare extremes. Signals use moving averages, RSI, and volatility cues.
NutHow it works
It runs several rule-sets and blends their picks. Default is SSO (2x S&P 500). If trend is up (short-term avg > long-term on SPY/QQQ), stay in SSO. If volatility spikes (VIXM’s RSI—a recent-momentum gauge—high) or trend is weak, shift to BIL (T‑bills) or XLP (consumer staples). If tech (QQQ) is very oversold (RSI<30), sometimes buy TQQQ (3x Nasdaq). In rare overheated cases (RSI>80), short QQQ (SQQQ/PSQ).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return: 36.25% vs S&P 20.83%, Sharpe ~1.18, Calmar ~1.24. A volatility-aware, rules-based strategy that leverages selective Nasdaq moves and defensive shifts to deliver higher upside with disciplined drawdowns vs the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
