About

Own SPY (S&P 500) in uptrends, buy QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) only when it’s deeply oversold, otherwise SPY if short‑term up; if neither, sit in BIL (1–3 month T‑Bills). Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks simple signals: - Moving average = average price over X days. If SPY’s 21‑day avg is above its 210‑day avg, hold SPY (S&P 500). - RSI = 0–100 gauge of recent moves. If QQQ’s 10‑day RSI < 30 (oversold), hold QQQ (Nasdaq‑100). - Else if SPY is above its 31‑day avg, hold SPY. - Else hold BIL (1–3 mo T‑Bills).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 24.14% return vs SPY's 22.08%, Sharpe 1.53 vs 1.39, drawdown 16.05% vs 18.76%, Calmar ~1.50. SPY/QQQ exposure with cash guard—more upside, less risk than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
