About

Daily switch between QQQ (tech‑heavy stocks) and SHY (short‑term Treasuries) using SPY’s trend. Own QQQ in uptrends, oversold selloffs, or short‑term bounces; move to SHY only when the broad trend is down and near‑term momentum is weak.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: Is the S&P 500 (SPY) in an uptrend? If its recent average price (21 days) is above its long one (210), buy QQQ (Nasdaq‑100: big tech). If not, but QQQ is very sold off (RSI, a 0–100 loss/gain gauge, below 30), still buy QQQ. If SPY is at least above its 31‑day average, buy QQQ; otherwise hold SHY (1–3 yr U.S. Treasuries).
CheckmarkValue prop
High-growth, risk-aware strategy with superior out-of-sample performance: 33.76% annualized vs SPY’s 24.75%, higher Sharpe (~1.56 vs 1.45) and Calmar (~1.75). Slightly larger drawdown, but far stronger upside capture in tech leadership.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
