About

Holds QQQ most of the time, using the S&P 500’s trend and an “oversold” check to decide. Only shifts to SHY when both long‑ and short‑term market signals are weak and QQQ isn’t deeply oversold. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks the S&P 500 (SPY). If its ~1‑month average price is above its ~10‑month average, it owns QQQ (a fund of big tech/mega‑cap growth). If not, but QQQ looks very “washed‑out” (RSI, a 0–100 gauge of recent weakness/strength, is under 30), it still owns QQQ. If neither, but SPY is above its ~1‑month average, it owns QQQ. Otherwise it parks in SHY (short‑term US Treasuries).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted returns and upside vs SPY: oos return ~32.7% vs 24.3%, Sharpe ~1.53 vs 1.44, Calmar ~1.69, with SHY downside protection. More growth, controlled risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
