About
A market-timing strategy that shifts between aggressive tech, defensive bonds/dollar, and bearish protection based on the stock market’s long-term trend and short-term momentum.
This strategy watches the U.S. stock market (SPY) to judge whether conditions are strong, weak, or mixed.
If the market is clearly strong, it makes an aggressive bet on big tech/growth stocks using QLD.
If the market is weak, it hides in either long-term U.S. government bonds (TLT) or the U.S. dollar (UUP).
If conditions are mixed, it either bets on a rebound with QLD or splits between a bet against tech (QID) and defensive consumer-staples stocks (XLP).
Dynamic regime-switching strategy that rides tech in bull markets and hedges in downturns. OOS annualized return ~39.6% vs SPY ~21.8%; Calmar ~1.24. Expect higher drawdowns (~32%) but stronger long-run growth potential than the S&P 500.
