About

Risk-on/risk-off plan: QQQ in uptrends; XLP when weak; but buy deep dips with 2x Nasdaq (QLD) when SPY looks oversold (RSI<30). Signals come from SPY’s 200‑day trend and 10‑day RSI; trades infrequently.
NutHow it works
Reads the market using SPY (S&P 500). - If SPY is above its 200‑day average (long‑term uptrend), own QQQ (Nasdaq‑100, big US tech/growth). - If below: if SPY’s 10‑day RSI<30 (RSI gauges how extreme recent moves are; <30 = very oversold), buy QLD (2x Nasdaq) to play a snap‑back; otherwise hold XLP (consumer‑staples, “everyday essentials”). Trades only when signals flip.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~34.3% annualized return vs ~23.1% on the S&P, Calmar ~1.52 and Sharpe ~1.39. Regime-tuned: Nasdaq in uptrends; defensive/leveraged dip-buys on oversold dips. Drawdown ~22.6%, but stronger upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
