About

An aggressive, rule-based swing strategy. It buys UVXY when the market looks too hot, otherwise rotates: tech/semis in calm uptrends, cash/bonds/gold/hedges in turmoil. Uses momentum and mean‑reversion signals from VIX, Nasdaq, and bonds.
NutHow it works
It hunts for short-term pops. When several stock indexes/sectors look overheated (RSI, a 0–100 ‘how hot’ score, is very high ~80), it briefly buys a volatility fund (UVXY) expecting a pullback. Otherwise it rotates: in calm uptrends it leans into tech (TECL/SOXL/SPXL) with some dividends; in stress it shifts to safety/hedges (BIL cash-like T‑Bills, gold UGL, bond funds TMF/TMV, market‑neutral BTAL, VIX funds SVXY/VIXM). Signals also watch Nasdaq surges/drops, VIX, and bond trends.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers stronger risk-adjusted returns than the S&P: Sharpe ~1.77 vs ~1.41, beta ~0.73, Calmar ~3.2, and higher alpha, with disciplined risk controls and volatility hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
