This strategy is a rules-based market timer. It first checks if stocks—especially tech—look too overheated; if so, it often buys UVXY, a fund that rises when market fear jumps. If markets look healthier, it rotates into aggressive winners like leveraged tech or semiconductor funds. If conditions look dangerous, it shifts toward defensive assets like short-term T-bills, dividend funds, Treasuries, gold, commodities, or hedges.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers.
