About
Rules-based, volatility-first portfolio. If markets look overheated it buys UVXY as crash insurance; if fear is easing it may short volatility; if stocks get washed out it buys 3x tech/S&P bounce plays; otherwise it mixes dividends with hedges and, at times, bonds, dollar, gold, or energy.
Goal: sidestep selloffs and catch rebounds. It watches RSI (0–100 “temperature” of price; >80 = very hot, <30 = very cold) on many market funds. When stocks look very hot, it buys UVXY (jumps when VIX—market fear—spikes). When fear fades, it may use SVXY (benefits when fear falls). If tech/S&P get very cold, it buys 3x bounce plays (TECL, SOXL, SPXL). Otherwise it blends dividends (SCHD, DGRO) with hedges and, at times, bonds (TMF), dollar (USDU), gold (UGL), or energy (ERX).
Out-of-sample performance shows a sharper risk-adjusted edge than the S&P 500: Sharpe ~1.81 vs 1.41, annualized return ~65% vs ~22.5%, and beta ~0.79, with controlled drawdowns near ~20%.
