About

A tech‑tilted core that steps aside when sectors look overheated, plus a volatility/defensive sleeve that shifts between fear hedges, calm‑vol carry, gold, dollar, and cash. Rebalanced daily with simple overbought/oversold and risk‑control rules.
NutHow it works
Daily rules driven by RSI (a 0–100 gauge of recent up vs down moves: high=hot, low=washed‑out). If big sectors are hot, it splits that sleeve 50/50 between VIXY (rises when fear/volatility jumps) and BIL (T‑Bills). If fear is high, it only buys SPY on sharp dips; otherwise it favors tech (XLK/QQQ) unless the market looks weak. A smaller sleeve rotates among SVXY (benefits from calm), VIXM (slower fear), BTAL (defensive long‑low‑beta/short‑high‑beta), gold (IAU), dollar (UUP), and cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy cuts drawdowns (2.54% vs SPY’s 5.07%) and delivers strong risk-adjusted returns (Calmar 5.68) via tech exposure plus volatility hedges—offering smoother, more resilient upside than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
