A monthly market-timing strategy that follows the broad U.S. market trend, then holds just one area at a time—either a strong stock segment in good markets or a defensive/cash-like holding in weak markets.

Once a month, the strategy checks whether the U.S. stock market is in a healthy uptrend by comparing SPY’s recent average price with its longer-term average. If the market looks strong, it buys the strongest recent performer among big growth stocks, big value stocks, tech, or low-volatility stocks. If the market looks weak, it shifts to the strongest recent performer among utilities, communication services, or very short-term Treasury bills (cash-like safety).
