About

A monthly, rules-based ETF rotation. When the S&P 500 trend is up, it holds the recent winner among mega-cap growth, value, tech, or low-vol ETFs. When the trend is down, it rotates to utilities, communication services, or cash-like T‑bills.
NutHow it works
Each month it first checks the market trend using SPY: is the short-term average price above the medium-term average? If yes, it picks the single best performer over ~35 days from MGK (mega-cap growth), MGV (mega-cap value), VGT (tech), or SPLV (low-vol stocks). If not, it picks the best over ~10 days from XLU (utilities), XLC (communication services), or BIL (T‑bills). It puts 100% into that one ETF until next month.
CheckmarkValue prop
Disciplined, rules-based monthly ETF rotation that shifts from leaders in uptrends to defensives or cash in downturns. Out-of-sample Calmar ~4.30 indicates solid risk-adjusted performance versus the S&P 500 with transparent rules.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
