About

Monthly, trend-first ETF rotation. If SPY’s short-term average is above its long-term average, own the best recent performer among growth, value, tech, or low‑vol stocks. Otherwise, rotate into utilities, communications, or cash‑like T‑bills.
NutHow it works
Once a month, it checks if the U.S. market (SPY, the S&P 500) is trending up by comparing a short-term average price (about 15 days) to a longer one (about 60 days). If the short-term is higher: buy the one recent 35‑day winner from MGK (mega‑cap growth), MGV (mega‑cap value), VGT (technology), or SPLV (low‑volatility stocks). If not: buy the 10‑day winner from XLU (utilities), XLC (communications), or BIL (T‑bills/cash‑like).
CheckmarkValue prop
Monthly trend-following ETF rotation with risk-on/risk-off regimes diversifies from SPY and aims to limit drawdowns. Note: out-of-sample performance shows negative risk-adjusted returns and larger drawdowns versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
