About

Rules-based switch around the Nasdaq‑100: buy 3× long on dips, go 3× short when overheated, sit in SPY otherwise, and after sharp weekly drops shift to a risk‑balanced mix of gold miners and long Treasuries.
NutHow it works
It watches QQQ (a big-tech index) with a 10‑day “heat meter” (RSI, 0–100: low=oversold, high=overbought). If RSI ≤ 35: buy TQQQ (3× long QQQ). Else if RSI ≥ 80: buy SQQQ (3× short QQQ). Else if QQQ fell >5% from a recent high in the past week: hold NUGT (gold miners) + TMF (long Treasuries), weighted toward the calmer one (last ~25 days). Otherwise: hold SPY (broad U.S. stocks).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~36% annualized vs SPY ~23.6%, driven by Nasdaq-100 bets and diversifiers (gold miners, Treasuries). Higher upside with solid risk control (Calmar ~1.13); drawdowns can exceed SPY in stressed markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
