A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily switch that uses a simple “hot/cold” test on QQQ to jump into 3x long QQQ on dips, 3x short QQQ on overheat, a leveraged gold miners–Treasuries mix during sharp drops, or default to SPY when conditions are neutral.
NutHow it works
Each day it reads a short-term “hot/cold” score (RSI: compares recent up vs down days) for QQQ (Nasdaq-100). If very cold (≤35), buy TQQQ (3x QQQ). If very hot (≥80), buy SQQQ (−3x QQQ). Else, if QQQ fell >5% within a week, split NUGT (2x gold miners) and TMF (3x long Treasuries) by which is calmer. Otherwise hold SPY (S&P 500).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher upside than SPY: ~38% annualized return vs ~23%, with Calmar ~1.18 and Sharpe ~1.16. Drawdowns are larger (~32% vs ~19%) due to leverage—suited for aggressive investors seeking stronger long-run growth, with risk awareness.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
