About

A tactical, rules‑driven strategy: ride tech uptrends with TQQQ, buy extreme dips, and quickly hide in cash, bonds, gold, or inverse/volatility funds when markets overheat or break trend. Very active and uses high‑risk leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
It’s a rule-based playbook that watches trend and “temperature.” Trend: is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average? If yes, favor offense; if no, defense. Temperature uses RSI (a 0–100 speedometer of how fast prices rose/fell): >~80 = too hot, <~30 = washed‑out. Uptrend: mostly hold TQQQ (3× Nasdaq), but step to cash (BIL/SHV) or hedges (UVXY/VIXY, PSQ) when too hot. Downtrend: rotate to PSQ/SQQQ, bonds (TLT/TMF), gold (GLD) or cash. Extra checks (high‑yield bonds; bonds vs short stocks) fine‑tune risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this rule-based trend/RSI strategy delivers ~45.6% annualized return vs SPY’s ~17.7%, with a Calmar ~1.05—stronger risk-adjusted upside. Drawdowns can be larger in downturns, but dynamic hedges help protect capital.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
