About
A daily, rules‑based “risk‑on/risk‑off” plan: ride uptrends hard with leveraged stock funds, step aside into volatility when markets get too hot, and in downtrends either buy deep dips or park in volatility, inverse stocks, or bonds.
Daily it checks trend and “heat.” Trend: is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average? Heat (RSI): a 0–100 gauge of recent moves; >~80 = overheated, <~30 = washed‑out.
Uptrends: mostly TQQQ (3× Nasdaq‑100), switch to VIXY (fear/volatility) when overheated.
Downtrends: buy deep dips with TQQQ or SPYU (4× S&P 500 ETN); otherwise rotate among VIXY, SH (−1× S&P), TLT (long Treasuries) or BSV (short‑term bonds).
An out-of-sample strategy that aims to beat the S&P 500: ~52% annualized return vs ~17%, Sharpe ~0.98, Calmar ~1.02. It times risk on/off with leverage for big uptrends, but incurs higher drawdowns (~51%).
