About

A daily-rebalanced, rule-based strategy that centers on 4x SPYU exposure with hedges (VIXY, SH) and defensive bets (TLT/BSV), guided by momentum (RSI) and trend (price vs 200-day MA) signals to rotate between leveraged longs, hedges, and cash.
NutHow it works
Every trading day, the system checks momentum and trend signals across several assets. If momentum or trend conditions favor risk-taking and SPY/QQQ show strength, it leans toward the 4x SPYU core (very aggressive) or other leveraged equity bets like TQQQ. If signals warn of rising volatility or weakness (high RSI on volatility assets, price below long-term trend, etc.), it shifts into hedges such as VIXY, SH, and bond proxies (TLT/BSV) to dampen risk. It uses RSI to identify extreme conditions, moving averages to confirm uptrends, and a top-pick mechanism to select one holding when multiple hedges/defensives are candidates. Positions are adjusted daily, and cash is allocated across the chosen assets in a balanced way. Note: SPYU is a 4x levered instrument, so the strategy is highly sensitive to daily moves and compounding effects.
CheckmarkValue prop
Unlock outsized growth: ~52% out-of-sample annualized return vs ~17% for SPY, with Sharpe ~0.98 and Calmar ~1.02. Leverage plus hedges aim for strong upside with controlled risk, though larger drawdowns can occur.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
