About

An aggressive, rules‑based swing approach: ride tech in uptrends (TQQQ), buy sharp dips with 3–4× funds (TQQQ/SPYU), and otherwise sit in volatility (VIXY) or Treasuries/short S&P when fear is extreme. Daily, high risk.
NutHow it works
Checks two things: trend and short‑term “heat.” If S&P (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, hold TQQQ (3× Nasdaq) unless heat (RSI, a 0–100 hot/cold gauge) is very high—then hold VIXY (volatility). If below, buy oversold rebounds (TQQQ or SPYU 4× S&P) when RSI is very low; otherwise sit in VIXY. If volatility is already extreme, switch to Treasuries (TLT), short S&P (SH), or TQQQ based on the 20‑day trend. Rebalances daily. Very aggressive.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~49% annualized vs ~17% for the S&P; Sharpe ~0.95, Calmar ~0.96—strong risk-adjusted gains from agile tech exposure and volatility hedging. Note higher drawdowns (~51%) during stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
