A daily trading strategy that uses recent price momentum in stocks and bonds to jump between 3x bullish Nasdaq exposure, 3x bearish Nasdaq exposure, long Treasuries, or cash-like T-bills.
NutHow it works
This is a fast-switching market-timing strategy. It reads recent market “temperature” using short-term price strength tests on stocks and bonds. If the broad stock market looks too overheated, it hides in very short-term Treasury bills (BIL). If conditions look favorable, it buys TQQQ, a fund that aims to move about 3x the Nasdaq-100. In weaker or more defensive environments, it may instead buy SQQQ (which rises when the Nasdaq falls) or EDV (long-term U.S. Treasuries).

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
