About

A daily-rebalanced strategy that toggles between bond-based safety and leveraged tech/semiconductor bets, guided by RSI momentum signals on SPY and related bond ETFs, with a bottom-ranked RSI selector among leveraged bets for entry.
NutHow it works
In layman's terms: The system watches momentum using RSI, a simple gauge of whether recent price moves are strong or weak. If the broad market looks overextended (RSI high) and bond-related funds look comparatively solid, it moves into safer bond funds (like SHY). If conditions favor taking on risk, it searches for the most oversold option among big, leveraged bets on semiconductors or tech (such as SOXL and TECL) and buys one of them. It also has reverse/hedge vehicles (SOXS, SQQQ) as possible shorts or hedges. The signals compare RSI values of SPY to thresholds (e.g., above 75) and compare bond ETF RSI to related ETFs (IBTK, ITBG, ITBE) to decide between risk-off and risk-on. Every day, the system rebalances to stay aligned with the latest signals, which can mean frequent trading and high exposure to leverage. The goal is to grab big upside when tech/semis look favorable while keeping some protection in bonds when risk rises.
CheckmarkValue prop
RSI-timed, levered tech/semis with bond hedges deliver out-of-sample annualized returns ~67% vs SPY ~23%. Strong upside potential and risk-adjusted efficiency, but be aware of higher volatility and potential drawdowns in stressed markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
