About

A short‑term, rules-based sleeve that rotates among cash, long volatility (VIXY), 2x long Nasdaq (QLD), or short Nasdaq (PSQ) using quick “hot/cold” readings across bonds, stocks, and tech leadership. Rebalanced daily; mostly contrarian.
NutHow it works
Each day it picks one stance based on short‑term “heat” (RSI = a quick hot/cold score): • If 7–10y Treasuries (IEF) look stronger than T‑Bills (BIL) and the S&P 500 (SPY) looks very hot, buy VIXY (bet on a volatility spike). Otherwise hold cash. • If not, and safer credit (SPIB) beats high‑beta stocks (SPHB) and chip stocks (SOXX) beat broad tech (IYW), buy QLD (2x long Nasdaq). Otherwise short Nasdaq via PSQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic, rules-based sleeve rotating cash, VIXY, QLD and PSQ on short-term momentum. Out-of-sample: ~41% annualized return vs SPY ~18%; Calmar ~0.82; Sharpe ~0.84. Captures upside with volatility hedges—aware of higher drawdown risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
