About

Switches among 2x S&P, a defensive gold/bonds/cash mix, or short‑term trades in volatility (UVXY) and 3x semiconductors (SOXL) using “overheated” signals (RSI) and a 200‑day trend filter. High risk due to leverage and volatility timing.
NutHow it works
Most of the time: if the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average, it holds SSO (2x S&P). If below, it goes defensive: equal in GLD (gold), TLT (long Treasuries), and BIL (T‑bills). Short‑term override: if RSI—a simple “too hot/too cold” gauge—shows very overheated readings on SPY/QQQ/XLP, it buys UVXY (rises when fear spikes). If UVXY itself is extremely overheated, it buys SOXL (3x semiconductors). Uses leverage; can be very volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
Diversified, regime-switching strategy using gold, bonds, cash, and volatility timing to complement the S&P 500. Out-of-sample results are negative and high-risk—best as a small hedge, not core exposure.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
