About

A daily, Reddit-informed, leveraged-equity strategy that blunts QQQ downside with hedges when volatility is high and seeks upside with 3x long ETFs when momentum looks favorable; highly aggressive and risk-intensive.
NutHow it works
Every trading day, the system checks two main ideas. (1) Has QQQ (the Nasdaq-100 ETF) fallen recently? If yes, it moves into a hedged or cash-oriented stance depending on how volatile the market is. If volatility is high, it tilts toward cash-like assets (BIL) and a volatility hedge (UVXY). If volatility is lower, it may choose to take on risk with leveraged equity exposure via funds like TQQQ, SPXL, TECL, or UPRO. (2) The system also uses signals that look at momentum and trend to decide when to favor inverse or hedged ETFs (like SQQQ or SVXY) or to back to long leveraged ETFs if momentum looks favorable. Allocation is typically spread across the chosen assets, with daily rebalancing to maintain the target mix. In short: it alternates between a risk-off hedged stance and a risk-on leveraged equity tilt based on simple price and momentum checks, updating every day.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.36 vs 1.22, Calmar 2.32; annualized ~77% vs ~22% for the S&P. Higher drawdowns, but much stronger risk-adjusted upside from daily rebalancing with hedges and 3x long exposure.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
