About

A short‑term, tech‑centric “buy the dip / fade the rip” system around QQQ. Uses an RSI heat gauge, a volatility switch, and a global risk filter to rotate among tech, defensives, and hedges (incl. leveraged/inverse ETFs). Rebalances daily.
NutHow it works
Think of QQQ (big tech index) as the thermostat. When QQQ has fallen fast (RSI, a 0–100 “hot/cold” gauge, is low), it buys tech/semis for a bounce. When QQQ runs too hot (RSI high), it shifts to hedges like VIX funds, healthcare, and gold. A volatility check dials aggressiveness up/down. A quick global check (ACWI vs SPLV) swaps in risk‑on or defensive baskets. It sizes positions by favoring calmer ETFs. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~2.15 vs SPY ~0.87; annualized return ~16.68% vs 16.39%; max drawdown ~3.59% vs 18.76%; Calmar ~4.65; beta ~0.28. Tech-tilted strategy with stronger risk-adjusted upside and far smaller drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
