About

A fast, rules-based strategy that rotates among 3x tech and semiconductor bull/bear funds, sometimes hedging with a volatility fund or Treasuries, based on trend, overbought/oversold readings, and short-term momentum. Extremely high risk and volatile.
NutHow it works
Split into three sleeves: Nasdaq 100, semiconductors, and the tech sector. Each sleeve flips between a 3x bull fund (betting up) and a 3x bear fund (betting down). It checks trend (vs 200‑day average), a short‑term “heat” score (overbought/oversold), and momentum. If things look too hot it briefly buys a volatility fund; if weak it may park in Treasuries. Uses TQQQ/SQQQ, SOXL/SOXS, TECL/TECS, UVXY, UPRO/SPXL, and TLT. Very risky; expect big swings.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: Sharpe 1.36 vs SPY 1.01, Calmar 2.05, annualized return ~109% vs ~18% for the S&P. Tactical 3x tech/semis rotation with hedges targets outsized upside; accepts higher drawdowns (~54%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
