About
A daily, rules‑based portfolio that rides uptrends, buys deep tech dips, and shifts to cash, Treasuries, gold, the dollar, commodities, or volatility hedges when markets look overheated or fearful. Includes small tactical shorts and leveraged ETFs.
Each day it checks three dials:
- Trend: price vs its recent average
- RSI: a 0–100 “heat” gauge (high=hot, low=cold)
- Volatility: the VIX “fear” gauge (via VIXY/UVXY)
Steady uptrend: hold stocks (often tech‑tilted).
Overheated: add hedges or trim risk.
Fear spike or downtrend: move to T‑bills/Treasuries, sometimes gold, the dollar, or commodities.
On big dips it may buy small 2–3x tech/semis; at extremes it can short a little.
Lower risk, steadier upside: Out-of-sample drawdown 12.66% vs SPY 18.76%, OOS return ~7.94%, Sharpe ~0.57, Calmar ~0.63, and beta ~0.68—delivering more resilient, hedged exposure with smoother upside versus the S&P 500.
