About

Rules-based, daily mix of stocks, bonds, commodities and volatility hedges. Scales risk up in strong uptrends (often tech/semis; sometimes leveraged) and down to T‑bills/defensive or VIX hedges when markets are overbought or volatile.
NutHow it works
Daily, it reads a few gauges: trend (price vs its average), momentum (RSI, a 0–100 “heat” score), and volatility. If stocks are strong and calm, it leans into equities—often tech/semis—and may use leveraged funds. If markets look overbought or jumpy, it moves to T‑bills, defensive market‑neutral funds, or VIX hedges, and may short hot spots. It adds bonds, gold, oil/nat‑gas only when their trends are up.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~7.75% annualized vs S&P ~17.49%, but max drawdown ~11.6% vs ~18.8%. Strong risk controls and broad diversification aim for steadier, risk-adjusted growth in volatile markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
