About

A daily, trend‑aware core. When the market’s up, it holds cash‑rich US stocks, managed futures, and gold. When momentum weakens, it shifts to managed futures, long Treasuries, and T‑bills. Signal is SPY’s 50/200‑day averages.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks if the US stock market (SPY) is trending up by comparing its 50‑day vs 200‑day average closing price. If up: 40% COWZ (US companies with lots of free cash), 30% DBMF (managed‑futures trend fund), 30% GLD (gold). If not: 40% DBMF, 30% TLT (long US Treasuries), 30% BIL (T‑bills). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 53.9% annualized vs SPY 23.9%, drawdown 3.8% vs 5.1%, Calmar ~14 and Sharpe ~4.17 vs ~2.04. Daily trend-based mix of stocks, futures, gold, and bonds for steadier growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
