1) Check the overall health of semiconductors using SMH: if its recent average price (last ~1 month) is above its long-term average (~10 months), we call it an uptrend. 2) If uptrend: buy 4 semiconductor stocks with the strongest recent performance, split money evenly. 3) If not an uptrend: buy 2 “safer” bond/defensive funds that have fallen the most lately (aiming for a rebound), split money evenly. 4) Re-check on each run and adjust only when signals change.
