About

Rides semiconductor uptrends by owning the 4 strongest chip stocks; when the sector weakens, shifts to 2 defensive funds (bonds/steady sectors) that recently sold off, aiming for a bounce. Equal-weighted, with limited rebalancing.
NutHow it works
1) First, it checks if chip stocks as a group are in an uptrend by looking at SMH (a broad semiconductor fund). It compares the average price over the last 20 days with the average over the last 200 days. If the short-term average is higher, it’s an uptrend. 2) In an uptrend: it buys 4 chip companies with the strongest recent price strength (measured by a simple 0–100 “strength score” called RSI; higher = more recent buying). The list includes names like NVIDIA, AMD, TSM, and others. All 4 are equally sized. 3) Not an uptrend: it moves to “defensive” funds (bonds and steady sectors like consumer staples, utilities, healthcare). It picks 2 that have fallen the most lately (lowest RSI), aiming for a short-term bounce. Those 2 are equally sized. It mostly leaves positions alone unless they drift far from targets or the signals change, to limit trading.
CheckmarkValue prop
Rides semiconductor uptrends by owning 4 top chips; when the sector falters, shifts to 2 defensive ETFs for a bounce. Equal-weighted, low-turnover design backed by out-of-sample evidence, aiming to outperform the S&P 500 with clearer risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
