About

Daily semiconductor strategy. If the 3x bull ETF has dropped hard recently, buy it for a rebound. If not, but the 3x bear has dropped hard, buy the bear for a pullback. Otherwise hold the standard semiconductor ETF.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks a quick “drop gauge” (10‑day RSI) on two leveraged chip ETFs: • If the 3x bull (SOXL) looks washed out (RSI < 30), buy SOXL. • Else if the 3x bear (SOXS) looks washed out, buy SOXS. • Otherwise, hold the regular chip ETF (SMH).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~71.5% vs SPY ~32.3%; Calmar ~1.85 and Sharpe ~1.0 show strong risk-adjusted alpha in semis. Higher drawdowns (~38.7%), but amplified upside could beat the S&P over time.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
