About

Daily semiconductor rotation: 60% to the top 5-day performer among AMD/INTC/NVDA/TSM; 40% via inverse-volatility across the four; if QQQ’s 5-day return is negative, switch to GLD; v5.3 uses a 5-day filter and replaces QCOM with TSM.
NutHow it works
A daily, rule-based approach focuses on four chipmakers (AMD, INTC, NVDA, TSM) and a gold defense. If the Nasdaq-100’s last 5 days were positive, the strategy: - Picks the best 5-day performer among the four and puts 60% of the portfolio there. - Takes the remaining 40% and spreads it across the four using inverse-volatility weights from the prior 20 days (less volatile stocks get more weight). If Nasdaq’s 5-day return is negative, the strategy shifts fully into GLD (gold) as a defensive move. The 5-day momentum window is used for speed, and the 20-day volatility window is used to bias weights toward steadier stocks. The update (v5.3) reduces the defensive signal window from 10 to 5 days and swaps QCOM for TSM. Rebalances happen every trading day.
CheckmarkValue prop
Capitalize on semis momentum with a disciplined 60/40 tilt and inverse-volatility weights, plus a gold hedge. In out-of-sample tests, it shows higher risk-adjusted returns and smaller drawdowns vs the S&P 500, with faster defense in tech downswings.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
