About

A tactical, high‑octane strategy that uses a 0–100 “heat gauge.” It hedges with VIX funds when markets look too hot, buys oversold tech/semis for rebounds when cold, keeps a small contrarian crypto sleeve, and otherwise rotates into managed‑futures/long‑short/dollar.
NutHow it works
It watches a simple 0–100 heat gauge (RSI) on the S&P 500, Nasdaq and key sectors. High (≈80+) = “too hot”: it layers into fear-tracking funds (UVXY/VXX/VIXM), from mild to aggressive; if only warm, it parks in T‑bills/BTAL. Low (≈30−): “too cold”: it buys quick‑rebound plays (TECL, SOXL, LABU) or, if things are red‑hot, uses inverse funds (TECS/SOXS). A small sleeve buys the most beaten‑up Bitcoin proxy (CONL/BITX/MSTR). When no extremes, it rotates into tech, short‑vol, or a calmer mix (KMLM/FTLS/UUP/bonds).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher annualized returns (~27.2% vs 23.1% for the S&P) with active hedges and dynamic rotations that diversify risk beyond SPY. Attractive upside, but crisis-era drawdowns can be large.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
