About

Daily, ride 3x tech (TECL) when trends are healthy but step aside when markets are overheated or weak. Uses KMLM as a strength check, parks in T‑Bills, adds small UVXY on spikes, and may use SQQQ in deep bear phases. Very volatile due to 3x funds.
NutHow it works
Daily rules. First: is the S&P 500 (SPY) above its 200‑day average? If yes, hold TECL (3x tech) unless short‑term “heat” (RSI, 0–100) is very high (>~80) → park in BIL (T‑Bills) with a small UVXY slice. If no, be defensive: mostly BIL/bonds, but buy brief 3x rebounds (TECL/SPXL) when RSI is very low (<~30). KMLM (a trend fund) is a yardstick: back tech only when XLK beats KMLM; otherwise stay safe or, in tough bears, use SQQQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy outperforms SPY on risk-adjusted return and upside: Sharpe ~1.45 vs ~1.04, Calmar ~3.28, and ~111% annualized vs ~19%. Drawdowns are higher (~34% vs ~19%), but trend-based hedges help manage risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
