A daily market-timing strategy: panic hedge when stocks look overheated, aggressive tech rebound bet when stocks look washed out, otherwise own the 5 least volatile sector/defensive funds.

Each day, the strategy looks at SPY, a fund that tracks the S&P 500 and acts like a “market thermometer.” If the market has jumped too far too fast, it moves into UVXY, a fund that usually rises when fear spikes. If the market has fallen too far too fast, it buys TQQQ, a turbo-charged fund that bets on a rebound in big tech-heavy stocks. Otherwise, it spreads money equally across the 5 calmest funds from a menu of sectors plus bonds, gold, and the U.S. dollar.
