About

Daily contrarian switch: bet on a volatility spike when the market looks overheated; buy aggressive tech when it looks washed out; otherwise hold the 5 least‑volatile picks across sectors plus gold, dollar, and short‑term bonds.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks SPY (an S&P 500 fund). It uses a 7‑day RSI—a 0–100 gauge of how stretched recent moves are. If RSI ≥ 86 (very hot), it buys UVXY, a fund that jumps when market fear/volatility spikes. If RSI ≤ 27 (very cold), it buys TQQQ, a 3× Nasdaq‑100 fund (heavy tech). Otherwise it equally holds the 5 calmest choices (lowest 17‑day volatility) from sector funds (tech, energy, banks, utilities, etc.) plus gold (GLD), short‑term bonds (BSV), and the U.S. dollar (UUP).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy posts ~31% annualized returns vs ~24% for the S&P 500, with a Calmar ~1.33 and beta ~0.86 - offering higher growth with less market sensitivity and a diversified, volatility-aware approach.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
