Each month, the strategy looks at 11 major parts of the U.S. stock market and asks: which 3 did best over roughly the last 2 months? It then puts about one-third of the money into each of those 3 sector funds and drops the rest. In simple terms, it chases the market’s strongest sectors and refreshes the picks monthly.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers.
