About

Buys Nasdaq-100 dips using a 10-day RSI: the deeper the dip, the more it buys a 2x ETF (QLD). When no dip, it holds SPY in uptrends and SHY (Treasuries) in downtrends. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day: 1) Is the S&P 500 (SPY) above its 200-day average? If yes = bull, no = bear. 2) Check a 10-day RSI on QQQ (a 0–100 gauge of how sold-off the Nasdaq-100 is; lower = more sold off). If RSI<30, buy more of QLD (a 2x version of QQQ) the lower it goes; the rest sits in SPY (bull) or SHY short-term Treasuries (bear). If RSI≥30, hold SPY (bull) or SHY (bear).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 25.7% annual return vs SPY 21.4%, 10.5% max drawdown vs 18.8%, Sharpe ~1.34 vs 1.32, Calmar ~2.46, beta ~0.94. Higher risk-adjusted upside with lower drawdowns than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
