About

Only buy tech on steep dips. When QQQ is oversold, scale into TECL (a 3× tech ETF) from 10% up to 100% as selling deepens; otherwise hold short‑term Treasuries (SHV in bull markets, SHY in bear). Uses SPY’s 200‑day trend and rebalances daily.
NutHow it works
1) Check the trend: if the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, call it a bull market; otherwise bear. 2) Watch the Nasdaq‑100 (QQQ) 10‑day “oversold meter” (RSI: 0–100; under 30 = heavy selling). 3) When it drops below 30, buy TECL (a 3× tech ETF) in steps—the lower it goes, the more TECL. Otherwise sit in Treasuries (SHV in bull, SHY in bear). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~32.6% annualized return with ~7.23% max drawdown vs SPY’s ~23.7% return and ~18.8% drawdown, a ~4.5 Calmar advantage. Higher upside with controlled risk via RSI-driven tech dip-buy in a regime filter.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
