About

An all‑weather, rules‑based mix. It rotates among stocks, Treasuries, gold/commodities/dollar, and VIX‑based hedges using trend, momentum, and volatility signals. In calm uptrends it leans into stocks; in selloffs or inflation shocks it shifts defensive. Uses some 3x ETFs; alpha test.
NutHow it works
Goal: gain in booms and defend in busts by splitting money into 5 sleeves and moving them with simple rules. 1) Stocks (often tech); sometimes 3x funds (UPRO/TQQQ/TECL) in strong uptrends. 2) Treasuries: TMF when rates fall; TMV or short‑term TIPS when they rise. 3) “Fiat” alts: gold (GLD), commodities (DBC), US dollar (UUP). 4) Momentum: buys recent winners vs cash. 5) Crash hedge: VIX funds (UVXY/VIXM/SVXY), BTAL, staples (XLP). Signals read trend (price vs average), recent returns, how choppy it is, and an overheated/oversold gauge (RSI).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P, with lower drawdowns and stronger Calmar, plus built-in hedges for smoother upside and better downturn protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
