About

A rules-based, “all‑weather” portfolio that tilts between stocks/tech, gold/commodities/dollar, Treasury bonds, and volatility hedges. It follows trends, backs recent winners, and dials risk down when markets get jumpy to aim for steadier returns across cycles.
NutHow it works
It spreads money across four buckets: growth (stocks/tech when trends are strong), inflation hedges (gold, commodities, US dollar), interest‑rate plays (Treasury bonds, sometimes their inverse), and crash insurance (VIX funds). It checks three things—trend vs average, recent winners, and how jumpy prices are—and shifts toward offense in calm uptrends and toward defense when markets overheat or get volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
All‑weather, rules‑based strategy with stronger risk‑adjusted performance than SPY: OOS Sharpe 1.68 vs 1.44, and a smaller max drawdown (10.9% vs 18.8%). Aims for steadier, inflation‑friendly growth through trend, momentum, and hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
