About

A Dragon‑style, five‑sleeve portfolio that tilts into stocks when trends are strong, shifts to bonds, gold, commodities or the US dollar when conditions change, and keeps a volatility hedge. Uses simple trend and momentum signals; sometimes employs leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
Split into 5 sleeves: 1) Long‑vol hedge (10%) that adds UVXY when markets look overheated or stressed, else holds gold/cash/USD. 2) Trend (20%): own the 2 best 4‑month performers among stocks/bonds/gold/commodities/USD. 3) Fiat alternatives (15%): own the single best of gold/commodities/USD/cash. 4) Growth (35%): lean into stocks (sometimes 3x) in uptrends; rotate to defensive sectors or shorts in downtrends. 5) Rates (20%): flip between long or short Treasuries and USD based on TLT trend/RSI. RSI here is a simple hot/cold meter (0–100).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 32.33% annualized vs 22.88% for the S&P; Sharpe 1.75 vs 1.42; drawdown 14.86% vs 18.76%; beta ~0.87 with positive alpha. More upside, less risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
