About

A dynamic, multi-asset, rule-based portfolio using five asset groups (volatility hedge, trend/momentum, fiat alternatives, secular growth, and rate-linked bonds) with leveraged and hedged ETF positions to chase growth while trying to limit losses in downturns.
NutHow it works
- The strategy allocates across five asset-group sleeves: Long Volatility, Trend and Momentum, Fiat Alternatives, Secular Growth Assets, and Interest Rate Linked. - It uses a series of signals (momentum, moving averages, and relative strength) to decide which sleeve should lead at any time. - Within each sleeve, it selects specific ETFs (often leveraged funds) based on ranking rules (top/bottom picks, 60–120 day windows, cumulative returns). - Leverage and hedging are used to magnify gains in favorable regimes and to protect against downturns, with built-in checks to avoid overexposure when signals are weak. - The overall allocation is not fixed; it shifts as market conditions change, aiming to capture growth in good times and provide hedges or defensive exposure when conditions worsen.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample it outperforms the S&P: higher risk-adjusted return (Sharpe ~1.73 vs 1.41), higher annualized return (~32.8% vs 22.5%), lower max drawdown (15.6% vs 18.8%), and lower beta (~0.90). A dynamic, hedged multi-asset strategy.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
