About

A rules-based, all‑weather portfolio inspired by the Artemis Dragon idea. It blends stocks, bonds, commodities, gold, and a long‑volatility “crash” sleeve, then rotates using trend, momentum, and risk signals. Seeks resilience in growth and in turmoil.
NutHow it works
Splits the portfolio into five parts: growth stocks, bonds, commodities, gold, and “crash insurance.” Each part follows simple rules: favor what’s rising, avoid what’s falling; buy dips when panic is extreme; and use gold, the U.S. dollar, Treasuries, or volatility funds when markets are stressed. It can use leverage in strong uptrends.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~1.70 vs SPY ~1.38; drawdown 11.1% vs 18.8%; Calmar ~1.80. A resilient, all-weather, multi-asset strategy delivering higher risk-adjusted returns and smoother growth than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
