This strategy splits money across stocks, bonds, and commodities, but constantly checks the market each day. If markets look calm, it leans into growth areas like big tech and bonds. If markets look dangerous or interest rates are rising, it shifts into protection: short positions, dollar strength, defensive stocks, gold miners, and short-term bonds. It uses simple trend and “too hot/too cold” checks to decide when to press harder or play defense.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
