About

Daily, it buys 3x stock ETFs after dips, flips into volatility ETFs when markets look overheated, and otherwise parks in a diversified “all‑weather” mix of gold, staples, managed futures, USD, and T‑bills with a small volatility sleeve.
NutHow it works
- Checks conditions daily. - Buy the dip: if a quick “hot/cold” score (RSI) for 3x stock funds (SPXL=S&P 500, TQQQ=Nasdaq‑100, SOXL=Semis) falls below 30, it buys that ETF. - Overheated: if short‑term RSI for SPXL/TQQQ is very high (≈3–10‑day RSI > ~76–95), it buys UVXY, a fund that jumps when volatility spikes. - Otherwise: 75% goes to a safe mix (gold GLD, staples XLP, managed futures DBMF, plus USD UUP and short Treasuries SHY/SHV by stability) and 25% to a VIX sleeve that holds UVXY/VIXM when SPY looks hot, or SVXY with VIXM/BTAL when calm. - Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~32% annualized returns vs ~23% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.31 and beta ~0.97. It blends dip-buying, volatility hedges, and an all-weather core for stronger risk-adjusted growth, though drawdowns can be larger under stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
