About

A daily rules-based strategy. In uptrends it buys recent laggards among high‑octane 2x/3x ETFs (mostly tech). In weak markets it buys sharp dips or hedges/shorts with inverse QQQ ETFs. Tech‑centric, highly tactical, and very volatile.
NutHow it works
Each day: 1) Trend check. If the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average, it’s risk‑on: buy 2–4 recent laggards from a list of 2x/3x funds (tech, semis, small‑caps, crypto, etc.). 2) Otherwise, use dip‑buy/defense rules: RSI (a 0–100 heat gauge; ~30 = washed‑out) on QQQ/semis/mega‑tech triggers buys of their 2x/3x versions; if weakness is deep or ongoing, hold SPY/QQQ or use inverse QQQ (PSQ/SQQQ). Rebalance daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~93% annualized return with ~26% max drawdown and Calmar ~3.58, vs S&P ~34% return and ~5% drawdown. Tech-heavy, regime-switching design offers higher upside with defined risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
