About

A daily, one‑holding strategy. It buys QQQ or SPY only after sharp drops; when markets look stretched, it shifts to defensive sectors or municipal/bond funds, always choosing the most beaten‑down option for a potential bounce.
NutHow it works
Each day it reads a short‑term “hot/cold” score (RSI, 0–100) based on recent up vs. down days: under ~30 = fell hard; over ~80 = ran hot. - If QQQ (big‑tech index) is very cold (<31), buy QQQ. - Else if SPY (broad U.S. stocks) is very cold, buy SPY. - Else if QQQ or SPY is very hot (>79), move to one defensive pick: the most cold among XLP (staples), XLV (health care), XLU (utilities), or bond/muni funds (BKT, NAN, MMU, PMM, EVN, VBF). - Else hold the most cold bond/muni fund. One holding at a time; rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 14.66% annualized return, max drawdown 1.06%, Calmar 13.9, and Sharpe 2.18 vs SPY -0.10. A simple, daily, single-holding rotation that targets mean-reversion with lower risk than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
